Howl-o-ween is Coming!

The pet costume contest at Pet Project is not the only exciting thing about this year's Howl-o-ween festivities! Being a furry friend-loving city, there are plenty of things to keep you occupied in the City of Angels.

Here's a list of events coming up this season if you are looking to express your spooky side:

Haute Dog Howl'oween Parade

This parade in Long Beach seems to be the thing to do this Halloween. Several different sources mentioned this event as a fun thing to do this season with your pet. This year is the 16th time The Haute Dog organization is putting on this thrilling event! The parade will start at 2:30pm on Sunday, October 30 at the Marina Vista Park. With vendors and pet adoption booths, there are plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow pet lovers. And, of course there are some pretty amazing prizes! This Howl-o-ween's overall winner gets a year's supply of dog food from Petcurean.

Pooch Parade- Club of Simi Sunset

If you're going to be in the northeast region of Los Angeles this Halloween, look no further than the Pooch Parade! Just like The Haute Dog event above, this day of fun for you and Fido is $10 (per dog). The Pooch Parade takes place at Rancho Tapo Community Park in Simi Valley and lasts from 10am-3pm. With over 40 vendors, pumpkin decorating, and delicious food, this event cannot be missed! Something unique to the Pooch Parade is a demonstration from the Ventura County K-9 Search and Rescue team. So, not only do you have the chance to enter a costume contest at this event, but you can learn about a local law enforcement agency!
